AIT at the 2026 Public Procurement Forum

On September 17, 2026, the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology will present innovative solutions for a sustainable public sector at the Public Procurement Forum in Vienna.

The Public Procurement Forum brings together around 600 representatives from the public sector, industry, and academia. The focus will be on current developments and strategic issues surrounding innovative, sustainable, and resilient procurement.

AIT will have its own booth at the event, showcasing research and technological solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, data security and digitalization, urban planning and critical infrastructure, climate-neutral cities, quantum technologies, as well as sustainable procurement and the circular economy.

In addition, Mag. Alexander Svejkovsky, Managing Director of Finance, Processes, and Administration at AIT, will participate in the panel discussion “Public Procurement as a Strategic Control Mechanism: How a National Procurement Strategy Could Help Shape Society”. Together with representatives from politics, business, the professional sector, and academia, he will discuss how public procurement can help shape societal developments, drive innovation, and support a sustainable transformation.
