It is the largest cooperation of fact-checking experts and scientists in the German-speaking world: On November 1, the project "GADMO - German-Austrian Digital Media Observatory" will be launched with the goal of coordinating the fight against dis- and misinformation across countries.
With the APA - Austria Presse Agentur, the dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur as well as the Agence France Presse (AFP) and the independent research network Correctiv, the leading fact-checking organizations in the German-speaking region are joining forces for the first time and cooperating with renowned scientists. The AIT Austrian Institute Of Technology, the communication and data scientists of the Institute of Journalism of the TU Dortmund University as well as the Faculty of Statistics of the TU Dortmund University and the Athens Technology Center are involved. GADMO is coordinated by the Institute of Journalism at TU Dortmund University.
