Training Workshop for IRAN delegation at AIT

Smart City Development


An Iranian delegation coming from the Supreme Council of Science, Research and Technology (SCSRT) and a governmental organization from Bushehr City were receiving a 4-Day Urban Academy Workshop on ‘Smart City Development’ from June 26th to 29th, 2017 at AIT premises. The training included several important topics like the European Smart Cities Concept, the application of ICT for Smart cities, urban governance, low-carbon strategies and technologies, big data exploration, and environmental resources and technologies. All items were considered against the background of local culture and governance. A guided tour through AIT Laboratories and a Site Visit to Vienna’s Smart City Aspern were rounding off the visit.

After the workshop, Mostafa Kazemi, Deputy Executive of the SCSRT, wrote in a letter of thanks ‘This is to appreciate your instructor and contributors team members for the great workshop. It was very informative and very well presented. Our delegates have learned so much from your training that will assist them in the workplace. (… ) Our objective (…) was to build on the concepts and achievements of the Smart City Bushehr as a pilot to achieve a smarter world. ‘
