Our technicians play a key role in ensuring efficiency and reliability in AIT’s day-to-day operations (e.g. in laboratories) and at a senior level for AIT’s large-scale infrastructure and machinery.
The Technical Services career model comprises four levels:
- Technical Assistant
- Laboratory Assistant/Laboratory Technician
- Technician
- Senior Technician
Typical activities for technicians
Depending on the career level or professional level, the tasks for technicians can include:
- Assembly and laboratory operations
- Measurements, experiments, and project support
- Supporting and overseeing lab operations over the entire course of the project, from acquisition and implementation all the way to subsequent reporting obligations and customer contact
- Design of new measurement and testing procedures
- Development of novel methods of analysis and new laboratory infrastructure
- Acquisition of projects and maintaining relationships with our clients
