Since the Future Zone Award was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, the awards were handed over last night: With Anita Graser (Center for Energy) and Sebastian Egger-Lampl (Center for Technology Experience), AIT won twice.
Together with PwC and the Samariterbund, Sebastian Egger-Lampl won the "Smart City Project" category with a Corona simulator. The simulator can calculate the risk of an infection in buildings and gives recommendations for effective protective measures.
Anita Graser is a computer scientist at the Center for Energy and researches geoinformation systems that enable the analysis and visualisation of movement data. She won in the category "Women in Tech": This category honours exceptional female founders, researchers and leaders.
We congratulate both winners!
