How can the Austrian political system be reformed? Senior scientist Peter Biegelbauer from the Innovation Systems Department will address this difficult question in two presentations at the “Tag der Politikwissenschaft 2015“, held at the University of Salzburg on 27th and 28th of November 2015.
In an “author meets critics” session he debates a recent article of his on possible lessons from the Hypo Alpe Adria failure, facing discussants from the University of Vienna and the Austrian Parliament.
In another session at the same conference he will discuss democratic reforms in Austria. Together with jurist Christoph Konrath he will analyse recent debates on the democratic system and constitution in Austria. Democratic innovations already introduced to Austrian politics will be juxtaposed with reforms in other European countries and conclusions for possible next steps drawn.
