AIT expert Zhendong Ma from the Safety & Security Department presented the PARIS project at the Annual Privacy Forum 2014, organized by European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) and EC DG CONNECT. PARIS has a multidisciplinary approach to take into account privacy concerns in the design of surveillance systems. The project builds a framework as a set of concepts, overarching principles, and knowledge relative to the social-contextual, ethical, legal, and technical aspects of surveillance, as well as concepts related to privacy-by-design and accountability-by-design.
The framework will serve as a decision support basis to assist system designers and other stakeholders in coping with complex privacy requirements in a systematic and methodological way.
