More than 50 people, representing 14 organisations, from 8 European countries met in Lisbon to launch InteGrid.
InteGrid is a H2020 project on Low Carbon Energy, financed by the European Commission which aims at bridging the gap between citizens and technology in the Smart Grids arena.
More than 50 people, representing 14 organisations, from 8 European countries met in Lisbon on the 12-13th of January to launch InteGrid. During the event, partners had the opportunity to come together and engage in the first steps of the project, presenting and discussing contributions, future plans and actions for the next 42 months.
InteGrid’s vision is to bridge the gap between citizens and technology/solution providers such as utilities, aggregators, manufacturers and all other agents providing energy services, hence expanding from DSOs distribution and access services to active market facilitation and system optimisation services while ensuring sustainability, security and quality of supply. InteGrid will develop tools to enhance data exchange between market participants to the benefit of end-consumers and facilitate the market entry of new players and services.
AIT leads the work package “Replicability, Scalability and Exploitation”, responsible for investigating the potential for scaling up and replicating the results from the three demonstrations, an important work to ensure a durable impact of the project.
