ICT 2010

08.09.2010
Europe's most visible forum for ICT research and innovation

This biennial event from 27th to 29th of September has become a unique gathering point for researchers, business people, investors, and high level policy makers in the field of digital innovation. ICT 2010 will focus on policy priorities such as Europe's Digital Agenda and the 2011-2012 financial programme (€2.8 billion) of the European Union for funding research and innovation in ICT.

The Safety & Security Department joins this event - on the biggest stand space the researchers will present latest and cutting edge ICT technologies and prototypes regarding the following topics:

1. 3D Robotic Vision

Live demonstration of our real-time 3D sensor-system for autonomous navigation of home and health care robots.

2. Digital Preservation

Interactive web based tool for semantic annotation of digital content (pictures, documents, maps, videos, etc.).

3. eHealth

Visitors can use and test several devices (e.g. customized after market mobile phones) for individual and mobile recordation of medical datas (e.g. blood pressure) and transfer to health care servers as well as individual feedback via adapted human machine interfaces.

4. Verification & Validation

Testing and verification tools for the automated generation of efficient test cases relying on development of new approaches as well as innovative integration of state-of-the-art techniques. Application are large industrial systems of automotive, railway control, and offhighway vehicles domains to achieve a significant cost reduction.

5. Sensing technologies

Interactive test of new sensor-prototypes for preventive and active safety systems (e.g. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)

6. Ambient Assisted Living

Interactive test of new sensor-prototypes for home-care (e.g. human tracking) applications.

7. Video and Security Technology

An innovative software technology for image and video archive access, which allows rapid object recognition in the recorded video archives. The key advantage of this technology is in the search speed – a critical factor for operational use – which is carried out at one hundred times real-time.
