New NGI talk series on Next Generation Internet started

29.10.2018
organized by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit)

This new talk series, organized by AIT Center for Digital Safety & Security in close cooperation with the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit), is initiated in the context of the Next Generation Internet (NGI) initiative, launched by the European Commission in autumn 2016. The initiative aims to shape the future internet as an interoperable platform ecosystem that embodies the values that Europe holds dear: openness, inclusivity, transparency, privacy, cooperation, and protection of data.

With this series of talks, AIT and bmvit want to stimulate the discussion about the future of the internet. The talks feature invited experts from industry, governance and research to discuss current challenges and potential approaches of the Next Generation Internet (NGI). They provide a platform for information and discussions in order to actively shape the future of our digital environment.
