High Performance @ AIT TwinPV Summer School 2018

19.09.2018
Stimulating scientific excellence through twinning in the quest for sustainable energy

PV performance, degradation, fault detection, high grid integration, and smart technologies were the topics at the AIT TwinPV Summer School. AIT Senior Scientist Marcus Rennhofer led his (post) graduate students through a week of fundamental lectures and interactive parts thus providing knowledge from PV components and systems all along the value chain from material synthesis to grid integration. Projects, lab visits and a field trip as well as brainstorming and the exchange of ideas completed the training on future PV solutions and regional aspects of PV systems design.

AIT Summer School is part of TwinPV, a Horizon 2020 Twinning action program, in which three institutions from three different countries are teamed up: UCY (University of Cyprus), AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology) and DTU (Denmark Technological University). The consortium has significant expertise in the entire life cycle of PV from cells, to modules to integration.
