Karl-Heinz Leitner appointed as Professor for Innovation Management and Public Institutions at Karl Franzens Universität Graz

The Senior Scientist is appointed as Professor for Innovation Management and Public Institutions at the Center of Entrepreneurship and Applied Business Studies at the University of Graz.

AIT Senior Scientist <link profile detail leitner-karl-heinz _blank external-link-new-window external link in new>Karl-Heinz Leitner (Innovation Systems) extends his area of operation: Starting in March 2016 he becomes Professor for Innovation Management and Public Institutions (part time) at the Center of Entrepreneurship and Applied Business Studies at the University of Graz.

Leitner is a renowned expert on innovation management and research policy and has a research focus on changing R&D and innovation processes, strategic development, research funding and the valuation of intellectual capital. He was Visiting Research Scholar at the Copenhagen Business School and received a venia docendi from the Vienna University of Technology. His research has been published amongst other in R&D Management, Research Evaluation, International Journal of Innovation Management, Higher Education and Small Business Economics. Karl-Heinz Leitner worked on several research and consulting projects for companies, ministries, interest groups and the European Union and coordinated the FP7 funded foresight project on the future of innovation (INFU).

The Business Informatics Graduate started working for AIT in the year 1995 and coordinates the thematic area “Innovation Studies” in the RTI Policy business unit.
