The encevis EEG analysis software sets new standards in the automated evaluation of neurological data. Developed for use in epilepsy monitoring units and intensive care units, the AI-supported analysis developed by AIT enables the automatic detection of epileptic seizures, epilepsy-typical patterns and other neurological disorders – with maximum accuracy and in real time. The development was funded in particular by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the European Union.
By using innovative algorithms, encevis replaces time-consuming manual EEG evaluations and delivers objective results, minimising human error. The fast processing of large EEG data sets with clinical precision and ease of use allows medical staff to make critical decisions without delay. This can be life-saving in intensive care units. encevis is compatible with various EEG devices and can be seamlessly integrated into existing clinical workflows. Compared to other solutions, encevis not only offers superior precision in seizure detection, but also provides unique analysis parameters with specific algorithms for the detection of Seizure Burdens and Status Epilepticus that are not offered by competitors. Compliance with the highest regulatory standards such as MDR and FDA as well as validation through extensive clinical data from leading medical centres in Europe and the USA underline the reliability and innovative strength of the software.
In addition to the technological advantages, encevis also has a high economic impact: the automation of EEG analyses significantly reduces time and costs. This leads to more efficient use of resources, faster diagnosis and better clinical results. The precise detection of non-convulsive seizures in particular minimises the risk of misdiagnosis and delayed treatment, which also reduces the costs of complications and follow-up treatment in the long term.
