Award for innovative collaboration in logistics

The eAward is one of the most important business prizes for digitalisation projects in the DACH region and has been awarded annually by the specialist publisher Report since 2005. In the category “Collaboration and Organisation”, the CRANEium project, a collaboration between AIT and Industrie-Logistik-Linz GmbH (ILL), was awarded the prestigious prize in 2024.

CRANEium is developing an intelligent and digitally accessible remote control system for cranes that significantly improves operational efficiency, safety and flexibility in logistics environments. By integrating innovative concepts of human-machine interaction – including gesture control, multimodal feedback and digital twins – the project is setting new standards in the automation and networking of industrial work processes.

The jury recognised CRANEium as a “ground-breaking solution that sets new standards in logistics automation and collaboration”. The award confirms the importance of the project, which was supported by the Future Fund of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour, as an outstanding example of digital innovation in the industry.
