The project deals with approaches for the detection of disruptions and bottlenecks in value chains of Austrian systemically relevant companies.

The COVID-19 crisis confronted the state of Austria with several challenges in terms of supply and procurement, such as bottlenecks in the supply of protective masks and equipment. In order to maintain a resilient society, efforts are therefore made to identify such supply interruptions and supply bottlenecks at an early stage in order to be able to counteract them efficiently. Suppliers of critical infrastructure and for international industry as well as job creation in specific regions are examples of this.

Hence, ReaGtSion focuses on

  • Analysis of the supply chains of key industries in Austria,
  • Identification of dependencies and vulnerabilities,
  • Assessment of the effects of shortages,
  • Development of options for action for companies and consumers,
  • Reflections on alternative courses of action in the internal market,
  • Development of a basis for decision-making at the political level,
  • Improving crisis support for key industries,
  • Conception of a soundboard,
  • Accurate coordination of legislative developments,
  • Creation of awareness

ReaGtSion is carried out within the frame of KIRAS Calls 2020 of the FFG – Program lineF&E Dienstleistung, Topic 3.2.13 – Ermittlung system- bzw. krisenrelevanter Güter (Resilienzbedarfsermittlung)“
