symbIoTe - Open Call (IoT Platform)

18.01.2018
Open Call for more than €500.000 in 5 different topics

The H2020 project symbIoTe (symbiosis of smart objects across IoT environments) proposes an Open Source IoT interoperability middleware to remedy the fragmented IoT market. This middleware provides an abstraction layer for a “unified view” on various platforms and their resources so that platform resources are transparent to application designers and developers.  Within the project, five different use-cases are addressed.

Until 31rd January the 2nd open call is open for submission. In this open call, more than €500.000,- are available for applicants in 5 different topics. Applicants need to show potential to deploy the developed solution so as to open up access to a selected subset of IoT devices under applicant’s administrative control to the symbIoTe ecosystem. The applicant’s ability to test symbIoTe services in real life settings will be considered an asset. In addition, the applicants will be requested to enrich the symbIoTe trials, which are planned at the same period when the Extensions will run, by offering their IoT resources as well to be used within symbIoTe trials.

Next Friday, January 19, 2018, the symbIote consortium organizes the second webinar for the topics symbIoTe-OC2-Apps and symbIoTe-OC2-Trials. Please register to the webinar and learn our views on what we are looking for from the applying partners.

In addition, some new material has been provided on our web site:

  • The recording and the presentation from the first webinar on topics symbIoTe-OC2-L1symbIoTe-OC2-L2 and symbIoTe-OC2-L3/4 are now available. You can also find the links on the "Call Material" tab of the 2nd Open Call page.
  • The FAQ section has been updated with new questions and answers based on the feedback we received from the first webinar and the help-desk service.

Looking forward to receiving your submissions!
