First Principal Scientist at AIT Mobility Department

14.04.2016

Atanaska Trifonova is the first female scientist at AIT, who was appointed to the position of Principal Scientist in the battery research area last week.

Christian Chimani (HoD) and Helmut Oberguggenberger (GFL EDT) honored that great success: “We are very proud of the success of Atanaska and delighted about this appointment. Rarely a commission has recommended the work of our “outstanding candidate” with so many superlatives. We hope, Atanaska will enthuse us with her dedication and we wish her the very best for her work.”

With more than 20 years of experience in the field of lithium-ion batteries, Atanaska Trifonova has been a Senior Scientist with the Electric Drive Technologies Business Unit since 2012. She assumed responsibility for coordinating research topics related to electrical energy storage in 2013, and since then she has headed up the battery research team in the AIT Mobility Department. Her many research specialties include electrochemical energy storage and conversion.
