In keeping with its motto, "Health Informatics meets eHealth", the eHealth conference series provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, decision makers and vendors to discuss innovative health informatics and eHealth solutions so as to improve the quality and efficiency of health care.
A special topic for eHealth2016 will be “Predictive modeling in health care – from prediction to prevention”. Future ICT systems need to include methods of machine learning and predictive analytics in order to provide actionable information to health carers and to support preventive health care concepts.
As last year, the conference proceedings of the eHealth2016 will appear as open access e-book at IOS Press. This contribution will be referenced in PubMed (as lectures and posters).
Selected submissions will be published on the international special issue and ISI-listed scientific journal Applied Clinical Informatics.

E.T. Award
The 2016 E. T. Award for innovative patient communication will be assigned for innovative eHealth projects, which promote communication between health care providers and patients.
