At the 15th national photovoltaics conference at the SwissTech Convention Centre in Lausanne Christoph Mayr, Head of Business Unit of AIT Photovoltaic Systems and Operating Agent of PVPS Task 14 of the International Energy Agency presented the Austrian PV-Roadmap.
The Roadmap is attributing an essential role to photovoltaics in the future energy systems and highlights the role of photovoltaics in an energy scenario by 2050 which is completely based on renewables.
According to the PV roadmap photovoltaics will cover 15 % of the electric energy need by 2030 and 27 % by 2050.
