Evgeniya Kabliman, AIT Mobility, is FEMtech expert

13.11.2015

The LKR (Light Metals Technologies) employee Evgeniya Kabliman is FEMtech expert of the month November. With this award, the bmvit recognizes women in research and development.

Evgeniya Kabliman has her focus on numerical simulation of material structures during the production of aluminium semi-finished products. In this process material properties will be defined, for example the strength. Aluminium is a widely spread material in automotive and aviation industry. Through its use the weight of components can be reduced and subsequently the emission of carbon dioxide. By means of the numerical simulation the development of material structures can be reproduced and to decrease the effort in industrial investigations.

The native Russian began her studies of Applied Physics and Mathematics at the National University of Southern Ural in 2002 and graduated 2011 at the Technical University of Vienna in the subject area of Technical Chemistry. Since 2012 Evgeniya Kabliman is engaged at LKR.

Concerning the topic “Women in natural sciences and techniques” the expert for material development says: “Recently I became a mother and already now I think about how to inspire my daughter for natural sciences in the future.”
