Career
Field: Cyber Security
Main Research: Risk & Security Management for Critical Infrastructures
Experience: Currently, I'm focussing on risk management and risk assessment for critical infrastructures as well as the integration of security architectures for such organizations. In this context, I'm working on novel risk assessment methodologies and processes applying game theoretic approaches. Further, I'm looking into mathematical concepts for the identification and handling of cascading effects within an organization and among critical infrastructures on a national scale. I have been coordinating the FP7 project HyRiM dealing with risk management in heterogeneous environments like utility networks. Further, I'm currently working on the running H2020 project SAURON, investigating improved protection for port infrastructures, as well as the Austrian national research projects CERBERUS, GENESIS and others. In the course of my works, I published several scientific articles as well as a Springer edited volume on the integration of risk management and game theory.
