Experience:
Wolfram Rhomberg is an Expert Advisor at the business unit "Research, Technology & Innovation Policy" and joined AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH in 2006.
He studied Sociology at the Universities of Vienna and Edinburgh where he specialized on sociology of science and technology as well as methods of socioeconomic analysis.
He has worked in several international and national projects for both Austrian and European administrations. In the thematic priorities of manufacturing technologies and KET (nanotechnologies, photonics) he has coordinated and conducted several R&D strategy projects and road mapping processes, e.g. for the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology. On European level he has contributed expertise and participated in several foresight studies dealing with new forms of innovation processes, mainly in manufacturing industries and related academia.
At the business unit he is engaged in RTD-policy consulting projects, technology foresight activities, manufacturing and entrepreneurship research, and business surveys dealing with firm innovation and production Technologies.
