Experience:
Jakub Dostalek's research interests include combined aspects of nano-photonics, materials research, and biointerfaces that are attractive for optical sensors and biosensors. Novel optical phenomena associated to surface plasmons – optical resonances with tightly confined electromagnetic field occurring on thin metallic films and metallic nanostructures. Analytical systems enabling interaction analysis and rapid and sensitive detection of molecular and biological species, particularly relevant to medical diagnostics and food control.
