Main Research: Cryptography

Experience: My research focus lies mainly in the field of modern public-key building blocks, e.g., different forms of (attribute-based) encryption and digital signatures. On the application level, I am mainly interested in modern connected systems with an emphasis on enhanced security features (e.g., secure access control & forward secrecy) for resource-asymmetric devices (e.g., the Internet of Things) and distributed technologies (e.g, Blockchains). Standardization activities include ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27/WG 2, ASI ON-AG 001 27, and ETSI STF 529 within TC CYBER (on standardizing Attribute-Based Encryption).
