Main Research: Zero free emission planning

Experience: Marita Schnepper is engineer at AIT Vienna, Department Energy, Business Unit “Sustainable Buildings and Cities”. Before joining the AIT she was University Assistant at the Faculty of Urban Design and the Institute of urban-planning, landscape und design at the TU Vienna. She obtained her PhD in Spatial and Urban Planning from the TU Vienna, with a doctoral doctoral thesis in the area of sustainable regional planning, especially in the field of innfill development strategies for cities and metropolitan regions. Furthermore she has worked in Germany, Canada, London and Vienna at high profiled architectural offices on a wide range of international projects in Europe and Asia at urban and architectural scale. During work experience she gained expertise in sustainable urban planning and architecture particular at the office RRP - Richard Rogers Partnership in London. Richard Rogers is international well known for his contribution towards a zero free emission city planning.
