Career

Field: Cost-effective and resilient transport infrastructure

Main Research: Dynamics of civil engineering structures, natural hazards, monitoring of structures, measurement-based performance assessment, traffic-induced vibrations

Experience: Marian Ralbovsky graduated in engineering of transport civil structures at TU Bratislava. His PhD thesis covered the topic damage detection on concrete bridges using model updating based on vibration measurements. He works since 2002 at AIT on topics of numerical and experimental structural dynamics, train-induced vibrations, earthquake assessment, nonlinear analysis and probabilistic methods. He was involved in several national and European research projects dealing in roles of scientist, work package leader and project leader.
