Career

Field: Complex Energy Systems

Main Research: Multi-domain energy systems

Experience: Benedikt Pesendorfer received a M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Technology Vienna and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Vienna. In 2016 he joined the Complex Energy Systems group of the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), where he works on topics related to the modeling and simulation of multi-domain energy systems. A special interest in this context, is the integration of energy intensive industry into a hybrid thermal-electrical distribution network. This might enable a more efficient use of renewable energy in industry as well as a higher share of volatile renewable energy supply in the multi-domain energy network.
