Career

Main Research: Multi-domain energy systems

Experience: Benedikt Leitner received a M.Sc. in Physics from the TU Wien and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Vienna. In 2016 he joined the the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), where he works on topics related to the modeling and simulation of coupled district heating and electric distribution networks. A special interest in this context, is the operation of conversion and storage units to enable the integration of renewable energy sources.

  • 2020: International DHC+ Student Award
