Experience: Anja Köngeter is Junior Scientist in the Center for Innovation Systems & Policy at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology.
She graduated in sociology (degree: master of arts) from Heidelberg University in 2014 where she worked as a teaching assistant and conducted research projects for the Council of Europe and the UNESCO as a research associate. These research projects comprised a cross-country analysis of the third sector and the development of an indicator system. She furthermore conducted international qualitative research in the area of technical and social innovation (Human-Machine-Interfaces, social acceptance studies) as a Junior Project Manager at a market research institute and specialized in in-depth interviews and creative methods.
Her major research interests are R&I Policy at national and at European level, Socio-Tech Science (Human-Machine Interfaces, Ambient Assisted Living) and Science & Technology Studies. Core themes are transdisciplinary and international research communities, their Evaluation and Impact Assessment (e.g. ERA-Learn 2020, JPI Urban Europe, JPI MYBL und COST Association). Anja Köngeter furthermore supports the implementation of participative and experimental formats in social innovation projects (e.g. the foresight project SAIL Vienna).
