Main Research: Automation in power systems, with emphasis on improving energy efficiency, harnessing flexibility at distribution side and advanced methods for power system security analysis

Experience: Sohail Khan has been working at AIT, Energy department since 2013 in the field of Electric Energy Systems. He worked in Complex Energy Systems research group on the topics of assessment and optimal allocation of operational flexibility in distribution systems. He has gained R&D experience while working on several projects in advanced methods for flexibility in distribution systems and reliability analysis. His indigenous research topics includes Lyapunov based direct methods for transient stability assessment for dynamic security in power systems at transmission level.
