Experience:

Associate Professor Amir M Horr has graduated with a BSc degree from Isfahan University of Technology (Iran) in 1989, Master of Engineering Science degree from New South Wales (Australia) in 1992 and PhD degree (Computational Mechanics) from Wollongong University (Australia) in 1995. He has more than twenty three years’ experience of multi-physical and interaction simulation, mathematical modelling, fluid, thermal and mechanical analyses. He has also nine years of teaching experience in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, twelve  years of full time and eight years of part time fundamental\industrial research experience for international organisations. In the year 2000, he has been awarded a prize for innovative designer of a year. He has also been awarded two research prizes for best researcher in 2001 and 2002 (publication includes 80 international journal and conference papers during last 18 years http://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar?q=AM+Horr&hl=en&lr=). During his academic years (1994 to 2003) he was teaching and supervising students in undergraduate and postgraduate (Master and PhD) courses. During this time, he was also a successful researcher with many published papers.
Working in the industrial research as a part-time (1995 -2003) and full-time (2003-present) gave him a deep insight into the scientific challenges of today’s industries. With his experience of both academia and industrial research worlds in the last two decades, he is a competent senior scientist/researcher who can tackle the challenging scientific and practical problems facing by industries
