Experience: Michael Dinges is senior expert advisor and thematic coordinator at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. He graduated in economics from the University of Vienna in 2003. Michael has long lasting experience in designing and managing evaluations, impact assessments and research and consultancy projects at European and national level in the area of research and innovation policies. In his research Michael focuses on the role of research and innovation policies in supporting economic and societal transformation and the use of evaluations, impact assessments and foresight as means to support these processes. Recent reference projects include, among others, the development of a research and innovation policy strategy for demographic change and mobility, an impact assessment of the Austrian Competence Centre Programme COMET, an evaluation of the State Agency for Environmental Technology and Resource Efficiency Baden-Württemberg, and a large scale collaborative project for supporting public-public partnerships in the European Research Area (ERA-Learn 2020).
