A future-oriented cooperation in sustainable industrial development
The Sino-Austrian Sutong Ecological Park forms part of the Su-Tong Science & Technology Park near Shanghai and will be designed in accordance with sustainability principles. It is to be developed in close cooperation between China and Austria and will be a best practice example of a new kind of sustainable industrial development.
The industry of the future needs to reconcile economic competitiveness with high environmental standards to be successful in the long term. It forms part of the Su-Tong Science & Technology Park near Shanghai and will be designed in accordance with sustainability principles. The 10 km² Sino-Austrian Sutong Ecological Park will act as a show-case for Austrian know-how and planning expertise in the fields of energy efficiency, sustainable energy supply and smart cities and create an attractive environment for investors and companies alike. The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology was commissioned to develop an energy concept for the Sino-Austrian Sutong Ecological Park based on its longstanding expertise in the field. In addition, AIT experts also provided scientific recommendations for energy-efficient building standards, a circular economy cluster and sustainable urban design.
