The SUSTAINair project, led by LKR Leichtmetallkompetenzzentrum Ranshofen of AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, aims to make aircraft significantly more climate-friendly by developing light, intelligent and functionally integrated structural and propulsion components.
As part of the EU Green Week, the SUSTAINair consortium is now organizing an online event entitled "Circular Aviation for Green Growth", which will take place online on 8 June at 15:00. The aim is to raise awareness about the circular economy approaches to the entire aviation value chain complementing the roadmap to a net-zero future.
In the first part of the event, SUSTAINair project manager Jürgen Roither (LKR) will discuss "Circular Aviation: Past, Present, and the Future" with Ligeia Paletti (EREA), Irene Fernandez Villegas (TU Delft/SAMPE), Isabell Gradert (Airbus) and Sonell Shroff (Clean Sky Joint Undertaking).
The second part will focus on best practice examples of Horizon 2020 and Clean Sky projects. In addition to SUSTAINair, which will be introduced by Jürgen Roither, MORPHO, DOMMINO and ecoDESIGN® will also be presented.
The event will take place via ZOOM, for further information/free registration please go to https://www.sustainair.eu/2021/04/21/circular-aviation-for-green-growth-eu-green-week-partner-event-2021/
