European Conference on Batteries 2020

Nov 24-27
Marcus Jahn will be representing the AIT in a high-level panel discussion

Within the framework of the EU Council Presidency, the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy is organising the "European Conference on Batteries" from 24th to 27th November 2020. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the event will be held in a purely virtual environment. International players from industry, research and politics will meet online to exchange information on current and future developments in the field of batteries, to network and to advance cross-border cooperation.

Alongside the German Federal Minister of Economics and Energy Peter Altmaier, Nobel Prize laureate Michael Stanley Whittingham or Tesla founder Elon Musk, battery researcher Marcus Jahn from the AIT Center for Low-Emission Transport will be one of the speakers. On 25th November at 10:35 a.m. (Session 3: European Competitiveness – Key Challenges), he will take part in a panel discussion on "Scientific & technical Challenges" and will address, among other things, the topic of scaling, i.e. the transition from laboratory to industry, which  is being driven by pilot lines such as those at AIT.

Participation in the virtual conference is free and open to all interested parties. Only registered participants can actively participate, i.e. take part in Q&A sessions, expert discussions and voting. Registration is possible under the following link: https://battery-conference.eu/registration. The conference language is English. All further information on the programme, the experts, participation and registration can be found here: https://battery-conference.eu/
