The AIT Urban Academy (Center for Energy, Digital Resilient Cities) is a training focused on smart urban development and management. Professionals and decision makers get deep insights on the latest planning processes and trends by experienced experts from policy, research and industry.
This time the AIT Urban Academy welcomed a highly motivated delegation from the Philippines (Makati City Government and Development Academy of the Philippines) to share the knowledge on the smart city concept with a focus on Smart City Vienna Benchmarking, integrated sustainable urban development, urban governance, low-carbon strategies and technologies, big data exploration, and urban resilience.
The participants got the chance to gain practical and theoretical knowledge through hands-on workshops and on-site visits. In workshops, they developed future visions for Makati City and discussed needed actions with AIT experts, to make these visions come true. In the end the participants were rewarded with certificates, which were handed over by Mr. Hans Peter Blahowsky and Mr. Hans-Martin Neumann.
