Digitization and interconnectivity mean our IT systems are increasingly at risk. A new malware program is created every two seconds. Digital attackers are constantly refining their strategies - threats lurk behind any networked digital device. IT security is therefore becoming ever more of a challenge, making cyber security a key factor for the success of any institution.
Research has an important part to play in finding solutions to these challenges. Our panel discussion aims to inform and encourage a discussion of the latest developments in protecting critical infrastructure, and to answer burning questions on this topic from the public.
We are happy to welcoming the following panelists:
• Dr. Alexander Janda, Secretary-General, Board of Trustees, Sicheres Österreich (Secure Austria)
• Dr. Thomas Stubbings, Cyber Security Platform Austria
• Prof. Dr. Lutz Prechelt, Software Engineering, Freie Universität Berlin
• Prof. Dr. David Garcia, Complexity Science Hub Vienna/Medical University Vienna
• Lorenz Breidenbach, Department of Computer Science, ETH Zürich
• Eve Hunter, Cyber Security Analyst, Amida Technology Solutions
