The scope of the project BI-FACE is to develop optimized bifacial modules and systems for large flat roofs suitable for different regions in Europe. The expected results should include novel manufacturing strategies, new methods for performance and characterization measurements and new adapted mounting structures.
All innovations and optimizations will be summed up and validated on experimental flat roofs where the light weight is essential. The project BI-FACE aims to develop technically and economically optimized bifacial PV systems to exhaust the enormous potential of this technology. The esthetically compelling modules will provide an advantage for the BI-FACE project by increasing the end product value.
