LKR Leichtmetallkompetenzzentrum Ranshofen attends the TMS 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA with a lecture by Scientist Stefan Gneiger. From March 11-15, 2018, TMS2018 will connect over 4,000 minerals, metals, and materials scientists and engineers who work in industry, academia, and government positions around the world.
During the symposium "Magnesium Technology 2018" AIT Scientist Stefan Gneiger will give a lecture with the title "Investigations on microstructure and mechanical properties of non-flammable Mg-Al-Zn-Ca-Y alloys": "Our research has shown that modifying magnesium-aluminium alloys with small amounts of calcium and yttrium improves the materials’ oxidation resistance and flammability behavior without deteriorating mechanical properties and processability."
Date: March 11-15, 2018
Location: Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona, USA
Lecture: March 13, 2018, 4:45 PM – 5:05 PM (GMT -7)
