Energy Get Together - Insights for customers and partners

04.05.2016

On April 28, 2016 AIT Energy invited to its traditional Energy Get Together at TechBase premises. As every year, this event was open for customers, national and international research partners, and interested stakeholders from the energy area.
Head of Department Brigitte Bach introduced the core topics and related research activities in a welcome presentation and invited to a guided lab tour. At first, a visit to the ENERGYBase was scheduled, the first office demonstration building with around 80% less energy consumption and approx. 200t/a less CO2 emission which was planned and monitored by AIT. Then the operational lab infrastructures in the areas of Smart Grids (SmartEST Lab), High Voltage, Smart Cities, Photovoltaics, and Sustainable Thermal Energy Systems were introduced by the leaders of business units, and seniors were reporting on recent methods and expected future market developments. After the lab tour a relaxed dinner party offered numerous opportunities for networking with experts and researchers. The exchange with the international group of the workshop on Photovoltaics reliability which was present at the AIT brought an additional benefit for the visitors.
The easy-going atmosphere allowed discussing new business ideas and future co-operations and the event proved to be a valuable platform for relationship building.
