22.01.2016
AIT Innovation Systems Department takes up a new project for the European Commission, which will support Framework Programme 9.

This January the AIT Innovation Systems Department kicks off a new project funded by the European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation. The project “Beyond the Horizon: Foresight in Support of the Preparation of the European Union's Future Policy in Research and Innovation” (BOHEMIA) aims at supporting the preparation of the next Framework Programme, i.e. the successor of Horizon 2020. Preparations for the new Framework Programme are going start this year, and the new project will directly feed into this process. “With different Foresight methods we will provide an outlook of societal challenges within the EU until the year 2040. Based on our results the demands in research during the same timeframe will be identified”, project manager Matthias Weber, Head of the Business UnitResearch, Technology & Innovation Policy”, explains. The project is a cooperation between AIT, the Fraunhofer Institut für System- und Innovationsforschung (ISI), the Italian Istituto di Studi per l’Integrazioe dei Sistemi (ISIS) and the Romanian Institutul de Prospectiva.
