AIT gewinnt im Zuge des Open Humanities Awards Preisverleihung den "Open track – Award"

Der AIT-Experte Rainer Simon (Forschungsgebiet Next Generation Content Management Systems) wurde gemeinsam mit Leif Isaksen & Pau de Soto Cañamares (University of Southampton) sowie Elton Barker (The Open University) für ihre Idee zum Forschungsprojekt SEA CHANGE mit  dem diesjährigen Open Humanities Award in der Kategorie „Open track“ ausgezeichnet. Das Team konnte sich mit ihrem Beitrag gegen eine
große Anzahl an Teilnehmern aus verschiedenen Nationen durchsetzen

SEA CHANGE will make available high-quality open geographic metadata for Historic Geospatial Documents – historic documents that use written or visual representation to describe geographic space. In the course of two “hackathon”-like workshops, the project will work with academics and students of relevant disciplines (e.g. history, geography) as well as with interested members of the public on annotating selected documents and making use of the results...

The AIT expert Rainer Simon (Research Area Next Generation Content Management Systems) together with Leif Isaksen & Pau de Soto Cañamares (University of Southampton) and Elton Barker (The Open University) were awarded for their idea to the research project SEA CHANGE with the Open Humanities Award in the category "Open track".  The team was able to previal against a large number of participants from different nations.
