Working on behalf of a major manufacturer of video security technologies, AIT developed a complete product range consisting of a multi-channel video codec, a small single channel system and an IP camera with several additional functions. All systems work together, building a complete suite for a video surveillance solution. Video transmission is accomplished by RTP/RTSP protocols, and the system can be adapted to various interfaces.

The intelligent camera performs real-time compression in various image resolutions. The system also provides sufficient processing power to accomplish video analysis functions including motion detection, OSD (on-screen display) inserting and video format transformations. The RS 232 serial ports can be used for controlling PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) or similar devices, the transmission protocol is transparent.
