System Integration & Point of Care Devices

Mobile molecular diagnostics requires miniaturised and automated devices with high analytical performance, enabling earlier and more accurate disease detection based on molecular blood and saliva tests. AIT has extensive expertise in the integration of biomarkers, sensors, microfluidics, molecular detection reactions as well as readout electronics and process management. System integration is aimed at optimising the interaction between the individual components, while also ensuring simple and user-friendly operation.

Our services

  • Integration of external technologies with AIT's molecular diagnostic technologies (e.g. biosensors with biochemical tests, sample preparation with analysis systems) 
  • Development of point-of-care systems and demonstratorsValidation of diagnostic systems (in cooperation with clinical partners in human and veterinary medicine)
  • Prototyping of microfluidic structures in polymer substrates (micromilling)
