The Electrochemical Society is a professional association that supports scientific inquiry in the field of electrochemistry and solid-state science and related technology. The Society membership comprises more than 8,000 scientists and engineers in over 85 countries at all degree levels and in all fields of electrochemistry, solid state science and related technologies.

AIT PhD students and young researchers Lukas Neidhart, Albina Glibo, Christiane Groher and Andreas Gigl from the Competence Unit “Battery Technologies” have now founded the first ESC Student Chapter in Austria. Thus, a network for students working on the topic of electrochemistry is to be established. This covers a broad field from batteries, photovoltaics, sensor technology to solid-state cells. The aim is to promote scientific exchange and mutual learning.

The kickoff event will take place on 26.04.2022 at 17:00 at Gentzgasse 22-24 (1180 Vienna), all interested people are cordially invited!
