auto.Bus – Seestadt wins Futurezone Award 2018

20.11.2018

For more than six months now, a broadly-based consortium under the overall management of Wiener Linien and the scientific management of AIT has been researching the implementation of an automated bus line in Vienna-Aspern.

As part of the scientific management of auto.Bus – Seestadt, the AIT is working on the optimal integration of the automated bus into the overall transport system. AIT’s focus is on the robust monitoring of the environment and the interaction between the bus and the passengers or road users. Against this background, the optimal design of the vehicle, the stops and the route are supported.

The project has now been honored with the Green Mobility Award at the Futurezone Awards 2018. Peter Wiesinger (Wiener Linien) and Alexandra Millonig (AIT) accepted the award on behalf of the consortium at the festive gala last week.
