How does digitalization of the industrial world affect the number of jobs and the future scenarios for employment in Austria? This has been researched by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, WIFO and Fraunhofer Austria in a recent study. Early this August, Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology Jörg Leichtfried presented the study results in a background discussion together with study author Karl-Heinz Leitner (AIT Center for Innovation Systems & Policy).
Within the framework of the study four scenarios were developed for the future of the Austrian labor market. These scenarios were assessed in terms of desirability and probability in several industry sector workshops and a strategic workshop.
