At the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry AIT Austrian Institute of Technology presented novelties in the fields of generation, distribution, and storage of energy. Some of the highlights showcased were the Fast Naked Eye Inspection of Photovoltaic Modules, AIT Storage Solutions including system design for stationary storage, power conversion systems, and ICT and controls. The AIT developments Smart Grid Converter and Smart Grid Controller especially attracted visitors.
Again, Intersolar Europe 2017 gathered more than 1.100 exhibitors from 51 countries, and 40.000 visitors were focusing on smart renewable energy. According to SolarPower Europe in the „Global Market Outlook for Solar Power 2017-2021“ presented at the trade fair, a total of 80 Gigawatts of installed PV-plants will accomplish a new all-time record in 2017.
