QGIS Grundlagen (2 Tage, Deutsch)
Der Kurs richtet sich an Einsteiger und Umsteiger in die Thematik Desktop-GIS mit QGIS. Grundkenntnisse im Umgang mit Geodaten werden vorausgesetzt.
Inhalte
- Einführung ins QGIS-Projekt und die Community, erste Schritte mit QGIS Desktop
- Visualisierung von Geodaten: Dateiformate und Projektionen, passende Darstellungsformen wählen und konfigurieren
- Datenverwaltung mit QGIS: Attribute und Geometrien erstellen und bearbeiten
- Ausgewählte Plugins für Hintergrundkarten, Statistiken, Datenbankzugriff und mehr
- Prozessautomatisierung mit Processing
- Zusammenstellung von Karten für den Druck
Der Kurs findet am AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Giefinggasse 2, 1210 Wien, in deutscher Sprache statt. Im Kurs werden Computer (Windows) des Veranstalters genutzt. In den Kurskosten enthalten sind Kursunterlagen (digital) und Verpflegung. Die KursteilnehmerInnen erhalten Teilnahmebestätigungen.

QGIS Essentials (2 days, English language)
This course is for beginners and users interested in learning how to use QGIS for daily GIS work. Basic knowledge about working with spatial data is required for this course.
Topics
- Introduction to the QGIS project and its community, getting started with QGIS desktop
- Visualizing spatial data: common data formats, working with projections, selecting and configuring layer styles
- Data editing with QGIS: creating and editing attributes and geometries
- Selected plugins for background maps, statistics, accessing databases, and more
- Workflow automation with Processing
- Creating print maps
This course is organized at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Giefinggasse 2, 1210 Vienna, in English language. Participants will use PCs (Windows) provided by the organizer. The course fee includes learning materials (in digital form), lunch, and snacks. A certificate of attendance will be provided.

QGIS for Mobility (1 day, English language)
This course is users interested in learning how to use QGIS to work with transport data and analysis for mobility questions. Basic knowledge about working with QGIS, for example based on previous QGIS Essentials training, is required for this course.

- Answering questions of reachability
- Static visualizations of mobility data
- Creating dynamic visualizations with the TimeManager plugin
