Battery Materials Laboratory

Specially equipped laboratories for the synthesis, analysis and validation of material in small-sized cells open the door to comprehensive battery materials research. The focus is primarily on the development of high-voltage cathodes and high-energy anode materials as well as on the optimisation of known cell chemistries. The characterisation of materials from customers and project partners completes the offer.

  • Material evaluation in coin and pouch cells from 1 mAh up to 10 Ah
  • Electrochemical analysis in 2-, 3-electrodes cell configuration
  • Moisture content determinations in electrolytess (Karl-Fischer-titration)
  • Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) / Attenuated Total Reflection (ATR)
  • Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (GC / MS)

  • Thermal analysis (TGA and DTA measurement, ARC Accelerating Rate Calorimeter)
